Sadia Kabeya: 'I want to show anyone can pick up a rugby ball'

When England's World Cup winning flanker Sadia Kabeya started playing rugby at school, she just wanted to spend time with her friends, and get out of lessons. In fact, she had no idea you could even represent England on a rugby pitch. When her school started a rugby team she was told 'Sadia, here's a ball, here's some boots, run forwards, pass backwards, and hit something hard...' Now, she's keen to emphasise that women's rugby is a space for anyone, irrespective of shape, size, colour or culture. She says 'Being a black woman from south London...I've had a bumpy road, but it's amazing being a woman in rugby.' Sadia Kabeya has been speaking to BBC Radio London's Aaron Paul.
