88-year-old Angela 'the greatest neighbour'

The Bretforton resident is known across her village and beyond for her kindness. She has been a pillar to so many people in her life, constantly thinking of others. In her 80s, Angela runs toddler groups, helps at schools, aids the community shop and checks in on vulnerable residents. She organises many charity events, supports the church and is said to be at the forefront of so many people's lives. Her nominators said: 'Having nursed her late husband Tony for many years, she now nurses the village.' Angela won the Great Neighbour prize at the BBC Hereford & Worcester Make A Difference Awards 2025.
