Often referred to as ‘The Journalist’s church’ St Bride’s Church in Fleet Street has a fascinating history. It has links to The Plague, Jack the Ripper and the newspaper industry - and the church’s spire was the inspiration for the traditional tiered wedding cake design we still see today.
