Helen: Cycling, Cleaning, Connecting Aigburth

Meet Helen, a finalist for the Make a Difference Volunteer Award 2025. Helen is a dedicated community volunteer in Aigburth, leading projects that bring people together while making a real difference locally. She founded the Aigburth Community Cycle Club, helping riders of all ages and abilities become more confident, active, and engaged, with over 400 members participating weekly. She also collaborates on inclusive rides for people with access needs and has established a city-wide group to encourage sustainable behaviour change. Helen is a lead organiser of the Lark Lane litter picking group, keeping the area clean and welcoming. Her dedication strengthens community spirit and inspires others to take action.
