2025: A bad crop for broccoli?

Farmers in Herefordshire are warning yields are down by more than half due to a lack of rain and bone-dry soils. They say shoppers should expect smaller florets on shop shelves. Ben Andrews runs a mixed organic farm growing broccoli near Leominster tells the BBC's Jenny Kumah that there could be supply shortages if sustained rainfall does not come soon. Martin Williams is a third-generation arable and potato farmer from Fownhope and is the NFU chair for Herefordshire. He adds that there are also fears for the crops of other brassicas, including cauliflower and cabbages, is also under threat.
