This is the fourth episode in an eight-part series on the British Empire. In this episode, Katie and Datshiane delve into some challenging and upsetting descriptions of a dark period in history. In the second episode, Datshiane and Katie examined Britain's influence on and eventual colonisation of India. In this episode, they will pick up the narrative after the First War of Indian Independence in 1857.
