When polar bears roared in Thorney

Secret Peterborough

Available for over a year

In the 1970’s the quiet village of Thorney, that lies east of Peterborough, was home to the popular Thorney Wildlife Park. It had a variety of exotic animals, all of whom were cared for by circus performers. Hannah Saunders revisited the site of the once well-known visitor attraction with Brian Lucken, who spent most of his childhood there, to uncover the intriguing hidden tales of its past.
