BBC Radio WM’s Daz Hale heads to Birmingham’s Alexandra Theatre in search of ghosts and ghouls. First opened in 1901, The Alex – as it’s often referred to – has seen many famous faces tread the boards there. Everyone from Laurence Olivier to Dame Joan Collins and Sir Ian McKellen. As well as being a popular entertainment destination, it’s also thought to be one of the most haunted venues in the West Midlands. Next up is the mysterious presence which staff, visitors and performers alike have reported feeling at the back of the theatre.
