BBC Radio WM’s Daz Hale heads to Birmingham’s Alexandra Theatre in search of ghosts and ghouls. First opened in 1901, The Alex – as it’s often referred to – has seen many famous faces tread the boards there. Everyone from Laurence Olivier to Marlene Dietrich and Sir Ian McKellen. As well as being a popular entertainment destination, it’s also thought to be one of the most haunted venues in the West Midlands. First up is the story of the ghost known only as ‘The White Lady’.
