During WWII, America joined the war and deployed people to the UK after the Pearl Harbour attack by Japan. The American GIs left quite an impression in Dorset. BBC reporter Abigail Busenze Balagadde visits Dorset to meet with John Stockely, the son of Madison Glover, a Black GI who served in Dorset during WWII. She also speaks with Louisa Adjoa Parker, the author of '1944 We Were Here: African American GIs in Dorset'.
