Food-related crimes – which include smuggling, counterfeiting and out-and-out theft – cost the global food industry billions of pounds a year. A growing number of incidents have targeted cheese - in particular luxury cheeses at the high end of the market. The price of cheese has rocketed since the Ukraine war, making less easy to get hold of and more desirable in some markets. The presenter of Radio Four's The Food Programme, Dan Saladino, explores how organised criminal gangs are feeding the black market for cheese.
