Do you ever think about what happens to your rubbish after it’s been taken away? A proportion of it is recycled and some of it is buried in the ground, but many people do not realise that most of what we chuck in the bin is actually being burnt for energy. The BBC has found that there's been a rapid rise in the burning of rubbish across the UK in recent years with major implications for the environment.
