Legend has it that Elizabeth Burgh was forbidden by her father Thomas to elope with her true love and imprisoned in the hall's tower, where she died of a broken heart. People claim to have seen a bluish-grey apparition, known as the Grey Lady, in the hall. Could it be the ghost of Elizabeth?
