Parachute rigger from Newton receives award for work on Mission: Impossible film

Karen Saunders, a parachute rigger from Newton, has been recognised at the Screen Actors Guild Awards for her work on Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One. Ms Saunders - who works at Nottinghamshire's Skydive Langar centre - worked with the film's stunt team to maintain the skydiving equipment used in a scene where Tom Cruise rides a motorcycle off a cliff, before parachuting to safety.
