What are the most sought after 'Star Wars' toys?

Ady Dayman

Available for over a year

New figures provided to the BBC suggest the second-hand market in vintage toys linked to the original 'Star Wars' film could be worth tens of millions of pounds a year. The action figures that were originally made by Palitoy in Coalville in Leicestershire, once sold for just a pound or two. Now they're going for thousands, but they have to be in tip-top condition. What's more, it's thought many valuable 'Star Wars' toys, bought for as little as 99 pence, are still out there, unopened and forgotten about in cupboards or attics. Joe Hand - from Leicester's Vintage & Old Toy Shop, and the podcast 'Toy Shop on Tour' - tells Jack Rafferty what makes the Star Wars action figures so special.
