In 1650 the North East witnessed the largest recorded mass execution for witchcraft in English history – fifteen women and one man were sent to the gallows, yet their names and their stories are largely unknown. This historical journey back to the mid-17th Century explores who these innocent people were and what led to them being convicted, while discovering what is being done to make sure their names will be remembered.
