A landscaper is celebrating after beating more than 100 of the UK's best hedgelayers in the 44th National Hedgelaying Championship in Leicestershire. Peter Gibson from Cumbria was awarded the honour of supreme champion at Stanford Hall near Lutterworth on Saturday. Hedgelaying is a traditional craft used to manage hedgerows - creating barriers for livestock and wildlife habitats. The overall champion was chosen from 15 regional style classes. Peter Gibson explains to Ady Dayman how he clinched the competition.
