Commonwealth Games Legacy: Sandwell Aquatics Club

Rakeem Omar

Available for over a year

We're celebrating one year since the commonwealth games took place in Birmingham with a very special show. One of the venues which saw a lot of action during the Games was Sandwell Aquatics Centre. And this morning we're live from the Centre talking about legacy. Part of the plan was to have a swimming programme to meet the needs of people, schools and clubs in the area. Three swimming clubs in Sandwell came together to form a new Sandwell Aquatics Club. We were joined by Chair Alison Drew-Cunniffe, Water polo Coach John Halstead, 18 year old Senior Player Simon and 17-year-old Club Captain Esther.
