Ukrainian refugees follow their dreams in Liverpool

Lisa Marrey

Available for over a year

The Eurovision is being held in Liverpool this year. The city is hosting the event in place of last year's winners, due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Best friends Anna Shturmak and Anastasiia Berest had to flee their homes in Kyiv last year. They're now settled in Merseyside and they've teamed up with Katherine Caldwell, who runs an art & design shop at the Royal Albert Dock, to create a candle making business to help raise funds for family and friends back home.
