A BBC Essex presenter has put smoke detectors into her children's bedrooms after a lucky escape with a faulty phone charger. Liana Bridges' 16-year old son fell asleep with his phone on charge in his bed next to him, only to wake up in the morning to find it melted and having burned a hole into his mattress and duvet.
