Jean Menzies and Carl Anka look at two of the secondary characters in Jane Eyre - Mr Rochester and St John Rivers. In Brontë’s novel, we have main, secondary and minor characters. The main character is Jane Eyre. The secondary and minor characters are really important too, as Brontë highlights certain ideas and issues through them. Jean and Carl play extracts from the book and pick out key quotes which illustrate these character's importance in the story.
