Recreating St Thomas' Church spire

Claire Carter on BBC Radio Somerset

Available for over a year

The 90 mile an hour winds blowing through the country during Storm Eunice made a national star out of one Somerset church. That's because the spire at St Thomas' in Wells was blown off. A team of stonemasons at SSH Conservation were tasked with making a new spire for the church. BBC Radio Somerset's Tilly Goodall has been to meet the team at SSH Conservation to find out more.
