The first case of the new Covid-19 variant Omicron has been detected in Leicestershire. The case has been discovered in the Oadby and Wigston area. The county council are now working hard to identify close contacts of the infected individual. BBC Radio Leicester’s Ady Dayman spoke to Leicestershire’s Director of Public Health, Mike Sandys.
