Coventry judo coach speaks of his pride for Olympic medallist Chelsie Giles

A Coventry judo club has been receiving new membership enquiries after one of their members, Chelsie Giles, became the first person to win a medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. The club has been closed since the first lockdown in March 2020. It’s due to reopen again soon and looks forward to seeing new members. Chelsie's coach Simon also had some thoughts on her performance and spotted how close she was to getting a different coloured medal.
