Ammonite director: 'Kate Winslet gave me a fossil she found for my birthday'

In the new film Ammonite, Oscar-winner Kate Winslet plays Lyme Regis fossil hunter Mary Anning. The film was written and directed by Francis Lee, who told us that he couldn't imagine anyone other than Winslet playing the role.
