Filling in Mum's census leads Andrew to look back over her life

Andrew fills in Census 2021 on behalf of his Mum, prompting a flood of memories. The census has taken place every ten years in England since 1801, with the exception of 1941. He recalls the 50s teenager, the young woman of the early sixties, the Mum of two young children in 1971 and - by the census of 1981 - his family living in the house where he records the diary.
