Desperate measures to fund life-extending treatment for rare cancer during Covid
Steve HarrisAvailable for over a year
Just over a year ago, Dorchester grandmother Geraldine Morley was diagnosed with a rare eye cancer that spread to her liver. But she was denied access to a potentially life-extending NHS treatment trial which was suspended due to Covid-19. So the family have attempted to raise a quarter of a million pounds to pay for six rounds of chemo-saturation privately in Southampton. The sacrifices included Geraldine selling her home. BBC Radio Solent reporter Laurence Herdman was told about the turbulent journey with Geraldine and daughter Debra Graham. A Go Fund Me page called 'More Time for Mum' has been set up by the family - https://gofund.me/79c2323c
