Michael Cashman who played Colin in EastEnders was involved in the first ever gay kiss in a soap opera back in 1987. It was hugely controversial at the time - the BBC was innundated with angry letters and phone calls. One newspaper even published Michael's home address, which resulted in bricks being thrown through his window. He spoke to Danny Pike.
