Scammers pretending to be police officers

This is a scam warning.. There have more than 20 instances of people being targeted in Hertfordshire after they were approached by scammers pretending to be police officers. A 99-year-old man was persuaded to withdraw thousands of pounds after receiving a phone call from supposedly "DC Andrew Clarke from Luton Police Station". Sergeant James Stopford, from the Welwyn Hatfield South Safer Neighbourhood Team spoke to Roberto Perrone about the scam.
