Leicester's hospitals on 'highest state of alert'

Afternoons on BBC Radio Leicester

Available for over a year

Leicester and Leicestershire are to remain in tier 3, following the government's latest review of the Covid restrictions. The health secretary Matt Hancock has made the announcement in the Commons this lunchtime. One of the main factors behind the decision to keep the city and county in the highest tier of restrictions is the pressure our hospitals are under. Our health correspondent Rob Sissons reports from the Leicester Royal Infirmary.
