Katie, a twenty-something Derbyshire shopworker, discovers that her favourite author, Harper Swift, lives just down the road from her parent’s old house. Curious to try and find where the author lives, she rides to her old village and parks her motorbike. There, she bumps into her old neighbour John, who tells her which house is Harper’s. Knowing that she is on holiday, Katie breaks into the house and takes a look around. She is excited by what she finds, until she goes upstairs to the bedroom where she makes a shocking find.
