US Gen. David Petraeus on Qasem Soleimani’s killing

Boston Calling

Available for over a year

The assasination of Iranian General Qasem Soleimani, authorized by US President Donald Trump, was a dramatic escalation in the ‘shadow war’ in the Middle East between Iran and the United States and its allies. As former commander of US forces in Iraq and Afghanistan and a former CIA director, retired Gen. David Petraeus is very familiar with Soleimani. He says that the killing of Soleimani is much more substantial than the killing of Osama bin Laden. (General David Petraeus attends his confirmation hearing for CIA Director.
