People are knitting pouches for orphaned kangaroos

BBC OS

Available for over a year

People from around the world are knitting blankets and clothes to help the animals hurt by Australia's bushfires. People are making pouches for orphaned kangaroos, mittens for burnt koalas, and blankets for bats which have lost their homes. Mariana Heggholmen lives in Norway and told BBC OS why she's been knitting for the animals. (Credit: A volunteer taking care of a rescued kangaroo at her house on the outskirts of Sydney.
