Melissa Villalobos: My Miracle

Sunday

Available for over a year

To qualify for canonisation in the Catholic Church you need not one, but two recognised miracles. Evidence for Cardinal Newman's first was offered some fifteen years ago in the case of Jack Sullivan, a retired court official from Boston, who claimed his painful spine condition had been cured after he prayed to Newman. Then in 2013 an American lawyer, Melissa Villalobos, became ill when she was two months pregnant. In her first BBC interview Melissa told us what happened to her and how her health scare helped Cardinal Newman become a saint.
