Hong Kong Protests

Good Morning Scotland

Available for over a year

This week saw a shift in the police response to pro-democracy protests in Hong Kong after one demonstrator was shot with a live round at close range. It comes as the executive has sought to ban face masks, a move which has been rejected by activists in the territory. Malte Kaeding from the University of Surrey and Christopher Hughes of the London School of Economics speak to Isabel Fraser about how the situation is developing.
