5 Live In Short

Available for over a year

Local MP James Frith tells BBC 5live Sportsweek he will work with a 'credible' North West based businessman, who has 'proof of funds' in a bid to rescue Bury. Frith's rescue package involves the club returning to League Two from August 2020, with the club remaining at current home Gigg Lane. Frith says he's working with the EFL, the Supporters Trust and Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham on the rescue package - Bury were expelled from the Football League after a 125 year history in the competition.
