The 80th anniversary of the Churchill War Rooms

80 years ago, an underground bunker opened under Whitehall. The bunker protected the staff and secrets at the heart of Britain’s government during the Second World War and is now known as the Churchill War Rooms. The rooms were opened to the public by Imperial War Museums in 1984.To mark the anniversary, BBC Radio London was invited for a special look behind the glass with curator James Taylor.
