The ideal book for straphangers

Boston Calling

Available for over a year

Dutton Books is launching a bold new experiment. They're introducing the "dwarsligger" into the American market. It's a hand-held book the size of a deck of cards, formatted so that its pages can be turned with one hand. The idea is to reinvent books for the smartphone generation and reinvigorate young readers. Julie Strauss-Gabel is the president and publisher of Dutton Books. (These books are called dwarsliggers in the Netherlands, they are pocket sized, and are made with thin paper.
