An Aussie-born German wicketkeeper thinks he can create his own version of the Indian Premier League in continental Europe. Dan Weston has given up his lucrative career as a hedge fund manager to launch the European Cricket League that will feature eight champion clubs from domestic leagues in Europe and launches in Spain this July. He tells Alison Mitchell it will one day be competing with the Indian Premier League as one of the best competitions in the sport.
