Coercive behaviour: 'I started to question my sanity'

World at One

Available for over a year

Figures obtained by the BBC show that most arrests for coercive behaviour within a relationship end with the case being dropped. Natalie, not her real name, was able to get a conviction against her former partner. She had been with him since 2012 and earlier this year reported his behaviour to police. He was charged in October. As she explains to Radio 4's World at One "I had to collate all the evidence, because it's so hard to explain about controlling behaviour " (Photo: Generic photo of woman holding head in hands Credit: PA)
