Lee Child: Why Tom Cruise is 'too short' for Reacher

Action hero Jack Reacher is to get a reboot for the small screen with a new actor in the lead role after creator Lee Child admitted Tom Cruise, who played him in two films, is too short. Speaking to Radio 5 Live's Phil Williams, Lee said the character of Reacher portrayed on screen by 5ft 7 in Tom Cruise bears little physical resemblance to the 6ft 5in tall Reacher of the novels.
