The Aussie seamer who coughs up blood when he bowls

Stumped

Available for over a year

John Hastings had played for Australia in all three forms of the game before retiring from first-class and one-day cricket last year. Now 32, he had set his sights on the global Twenty20 circuit as a final payday before hanging up his boots. But, those plans have had to be put on hold due to a health problem that recurs when he bowls. Put simply, whenever Hastings charges into the crease, he coughs up blood. He's been speaking to Stumped presenter Alison Mitchell. Photo credit: John Hastings playing for Australia (Getty Images)
