Ian Rankin on his new best-seller

Ian Rankin's latest novel 'In A House Of Lies' has become the number one best-selling book in the UK, knocking Robert Galbraith (AKA JK Rowling) off the top spot. Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live's Phil Williams, Rankin said the novel was written in just five months in early 2018 with the first draft finished within forty days. Rankin said he thinks his books are "getting shorter" as he ages because he wants to make sure he finishes them before he "pops [his] clogs."
