Chinese tariffs are hitting this farmer’s paycheck

Boston Calling

Available for over a year

Soya farmers like Phil Sidles have seen prices for their soya beans fall sharply — down around 20 percent since May, not long after China announced retaliatory tariffs on American soya. But even though the trade war is hitting Sidles’ bottom line he’s hanging on. He trusts that President Trump’s business savvy and tough trade policies will eventually pay off.
