What is it like to play tennis in a mixed-sex league?

Woman's Hour

Available for over a year

While men and women continue to play separately at Wimbledon the UK’s Local Tennis Leagues are thriving on mixed games. The league, set up thirteen years ago by Sally Kinnes began with 12 players and today it has 8,000. Men and women compete by ability not just by gender with some women preferring to play with the opposite sex. Tina Daheley went along to the club in Highbury to see for herself and to pick up a few tips.
