Katie Martin

Available for over a year

The 600 acre Avon Heath Country Park is just off the A31 and is managed by Dorset County Council. It's home to all 6 UK native reptile species. Maintaining the 2 parks that make up Avon Heath is a never ending task, undertaken by 6 full time staff and a dedicated band of around 30 volunteers. And the park rangers are looking to boost those numbers, as BBC Radio Solent's Neil Sackley found out.
