Dorset country park needs volunteers
The 600 acre Avon Heath Country Park is just off the A31 and is managed by Dorset County Council. It's home to all 6 UK native reptile species.
Maintaining the 2 parks that make up Avon Heath is a never ending task, undertaken by 6 full time staff and a dedicated band of around 30 volunteers.
And the park rangers are looking to boost those numbers, as BBC Radio Solent's Neil Sackley found out.
