Over capacity Northamptonshire hospitals cancelling non-urgent operations

Health chiefs in England have insisted there is no crisis in the NHS despite their decision to extend the postponement of all non-urgent operations and routine hospital outpatient appointments until the beginning of next month. They say they've taken action early to ease pressure on the system because they know the winter is going to be difficult. Hospitals in Northamptonshire are massively over capacity, and are among those cancelling operations and clinics.
