Ruth Davidson is the Radio 4 Broadcasting House politician of the year. Paddy O'Connell suggested to the Scottish Conservative leader that she and Arlene Foster of the DUP might now be Theresa May's Cagney & Lacey. But he gets short shrift. "I'm not really sure that a 1980s buddy cop show from New York really explains quite a serious time in government," Ms Davidson told him. "I'm not sure I take the analogy actually.
