RMS Queen Mary - A Queen's Final Farewell

On October 31st 1967, RMS Queen Mary left Southampton for the last time. She was bound for a new life in Long Beach California. After 31 years in service for Cunard, it was an emotional farewell for a much loved liner. She arrived in Long Beach on December 9th 1967, and work started to convert her into a hotel and conference centre. She opened her doors to the public on May 8th 1971. This documentary was first published in October 2017 to mark the 50th anniversary of her final voyage.
